Hands-on Learning Experience
Our training participants benefit from the unique learning experience that a modern bridge simulator offers.
The NSBacademy Maritime Training Center is equipped with two Full Mission Bridge Simulators. The inspiring enviroment of the simulators offers a high support but also high challenge learning experience.
The simulators can be connected online with other training facilities around the world. In addition to the nautical-technical knowledge, this also trains communication with each other – on the bridge as well as with different players in the connected simulators.

Voyage planning and effective briefings
- Enabling Officers to finalize voyage plans taking into account all (risk) factors for the safety of the vessel.
- Understanding the principles of passage planning to provide a clear indication of all areas of danger.
- Knowing and understanding the ‘how’ to protect the marine environment (includes MARPOL).
